Chase knew almost nothing about magical objects, so he didn't know what to expect as he entered the classroom. He took out a roll of parchment and copied the name of the course then wrote the date and waited for the lecture to begin.

"It is called Dark Magic if you use it for an evil purpose." Leonardo explained and continued, "It is called Black Magic until then, because usually only Dark Wizards and Shadows want to control someone elses mind, not the other way around. But Rinoa is one of those rare wizards who was born with this. And you learn in your Fourth Year because it starts to come in more powerful at that age, objects may start floating around you.. People may have headaches around you, etc.." he said. "But then there are those people who fall into toxic waste or something and get this type of power, but yes, it is rare."

Chase stood quietly against the wall waiting for Rinoa to make her attempt when a light appeared, and suddenly the headmaster was standing there with them. He raised his eyebrow, amused that he was able to appear so easily then listened to the information he divulged on mind reading. It appeared that the girl had a rare sort of power. "Well I guess you really do learn something new everyday." He grinned at Rinoa, "Even if it is something about yourself."

Merri sat on the edge of Rinoa's desk and shifted uncomfortable, she wasn't sure what to think. Could Rin really be from a family of dark magicians? Was being able to read minds really such a dark type of magic? Merri frowned and sat quietly hoping that between Rin and the Headmaster they could clarify these points.

"So Rin is not a bad witch she just happened to have this ability?" She grinned and stuck her tongue out, "How lucky!"

"Ah so that settles it" he answered. "Thanks Headmaster" he bowed his head. Then he looked at Rinoa repeating what Merri said, "Yep, you're lucky".

"Anytime." he said... He then disappeared into thin air, with no trace of him even being in the room.

"Uh-huh" she smiled weakly at everybody. She was also surprised to learn something new but glad that she wasn't part of a dark magician lineage. Soon the headmaster disappeared just as when the Professor entered the room. Rinoa's attention had immediately diverted to the Professor in front.

The Professor cleared his throat before he started on his introduction. "Good day. I am your Professor for today's lesson for Magical Artifacts" he started as his eyes scanned the class.

Chase actually wanted to get to know these students a little better now that they had caught his attention, but the professor walked in. He sighed and gave the group a small, what can you do, kind of look and returned to his seat where he stared up at the board expectantly.

Merri jumped and tumbled off the desk she was perched on. "Ouchie," she cried out while rubbing a small bump on her head. Looking up at the professor from her spot on the floor she gave him an apologetic grin and waved a bit, "Sorry!"

She began to crawl under the desk and eventually made her way over to her bag and climbed back into her chair. "All ready, sir!"

A Professor suddenly entered the room, while Merri was crawling her way back to her chair. Shuyin shook his head in amusement. This girl can really be funny at times he thought. He drifted his eyes onto Chase and noticed him sigh, it made Shuyin sigh too. "Here we go again" he mumbled to himself as the class has started.
