Nobuyuki walked into the Great Hall dressed in the clothes that his sisters had picked out for him. That's right, his sisters--Avalon, Forestyne, and Evangeline. They pressured him into choosing an outfit for the Ball and he gave in. Normally he wouldn't care, wouldn't even do it, but at the behest of his siblings he just did. Not that he felt comfortable with it, mind you. As his black eyes scanned the crowd of the hall, he couldn't help but feel a little....lacking.

Ah, that's right, he thought, and took out his wand. "Conujrous, radio!" A mid-sized radio appeared in front of him, and he turned it on. The first song that came to mind was a foreign one that he'd heard before, and thought would be good for the Ball.

Jas smiled brightly and nodded, "Yes really" she confirmed before her eyes widened. She nibbled on her lip hesitantly, eyeing his hand, "I don't dance well" she said softly before taking his hand anyway, "So no blaming me if I step on your toes" she said with a nod, giving him a small but bright smile.

Gino grabbed her hand and replied "I don't mind if you step on my toes.". He smirked a bit and led the Jas into the middle of the hall.

He held her hand lightly and put it in his broad shoulders. He started to sway leading Jas' movements. "Don't be afraid to step on me. It just means that I have big feet if ever you stepped on them." He joked and laughed for a bit.

Enchanted by the her bright smile and sparkly eyes. He didn't notice that he was staring at her for a moment. It's as if he was seeing flowers blooming all around them as they danced the night away.

She held her grip tight on his hand when he led her to the middle of the room. She flashed a smile at the other people who greeted her before giggling at Gino's words, "Big feet? Can I call you Sasquatch then?" she teased before she started swaying with him.

She didn't notice him looking at her actually or at least she didn't mind. But once she did, she tilted her head at him the left corner of her mouth twitching up in a side smile or well a smirk, "Are you actually staring at me?" she teased, looking up at him, her stormy gray eyes full of mirth.

"Oh, pardon me. I didn't mean to stare at you." Gino blushed and looked away. He momentarily began to stiffen up and be nervous, but he didn't exactly know why. His heart began to beat faster as if he hears it pounding every second. He noticed that he swallows his saliva often than he did.

"What has gotten into me?" He began to think to himself. He shook his head as if to regain his composure. "Be calm. Breath slowly. There is nothing to be nervous about." He softly whispers to himself.

He focused on dancing with her avoiding any mistake. He noticed her eyes looking at him. "What beautiful eyes you have." He unconsciously stated as he was looking at her. Then he shooked his head again. "What am I saying now?!" thinking that he is loosing his control over his mind.

"That would be perfect. Whew, let's find a good place to sit or should we join them?"

Nobuyuki looked to where she was gesturing, and when he saw who was there; i.e., his sisters; he immediately took up the first choice. "Let's find a good place to sit," he said, and led her over to a nice and comfy spot with chairs a good distance away from the others.

Hm, looks like I'm not the only Caradas with a date here, Nobuyuki thought as he saw Avalon being asked to dance by another Incaendefacio. He turned to Rinoa again and said, "Wait here, I'll go get the punch." Then he left for the refreshments table, filled two cups, and came back to offer her the drink.

He sat down beside her with a sigh, his punch in his hands, and asked, "So how are you enjoying this evening?"

"Okay" Rinoa replied and waited for him to return.

Rinoa grabbed the punch "Thank you" she said to Nobuyuki and took a sip "Wow that was refreshing" she added.

"The evening's great, especially since I am with someone like you" she replied when Nobuyuki asked her.

While she was shaking the glass in a circular motion with her other hand she looked at Nobuyuki and asked the same thing "How's yours?"

Liliana's dress was all white and sparkly again.

She heard her brother ask Avalon to dance.

Lili giggled and ran off.

Jeremy smiled and grabbed Avalon's hand and spun her around.

"Let's go!" He said as he started to dance to the music.

It was a lot easier dancing with a partner for Jeremy than by himself.

But Avalon seemed to be a lot better at dancing then he was.

Evangeline was watching as her brother led his dance partner away for some punch and as Avalon followed a boy into the dance. She yawned a bit, feeling a little tired, for she was not used to staying up too late at night. "I think I'll go back to my dorm," she told Forestyne. "Good night." But she didn't leave without tapping the radio again, although her choice was a little blurred from her sleepiness so the radio spout out the song closest to her idea.

"Let's go!"

Avalon let Jeremy spin her around, and she had to say, it was the most exciting spin of her life. Again, she was taken unawares, since she didn't expect that of him.

The song then changed, and Avalon couldn't have thought of a better (albiet silly) song. When did Evangeline hear this kind of stuff? she thought. But, oh well, music was music, and it was going to be enjoyed nonetheless.

"You really do know how to spin a girl off her feet," Avalon joked with Jeremy. "But did you know I can do the same to a boy?" She took one of his hands and then spun him around the same way. When he finished spinning she would come back to face him, the other hand grasping his to stop his spin. "That was fun, wasn't it?" she asked breathlessly.

Jeremy was also being randomly spun.

That was unexpected.

Jeremy laughed.

"Of course!" He exclaimed.

When Rinoa asked him the same question, Nobuyuki had to think for a while to be able to properly answer. "It's been good," he said at last. "It turned out in a way that I didn't expect. You see, I never really do anything at these kinds of events. But now I can say that participating every now and then doesn't seem so bad." He stared into the punch in his glass for a bit before taking a small sip. It was cool and refreshing, with fruity notes and a sweet tartness that was altogether pleasant. "Magica Academy is full of surprises," he mumbled to himself afterwards, echoing the words that Avalon used to describe the school in a letter home to him before he arrived.

When Evangeline declared that she would retreat for the night, Forest wanted to do the same. She thought the party was pretty stupid. Everyone was just dancing, but the most ridiculous was Avalon, who had decided to dance with the dork...or more likely, spin around with him. Her sister obviously didn't know how to be cool.

She didn't dress up for nothing, though. She wasn't going to just stand around and do nothing until everything was over. But what was there to do other than dancing? This was a ball, after all. The whole purpose of it was to find a date and do the waltz. She couldn't play any games like hide-and-go-seek or kickball, which she usually did at family parties, and which she preferred to do. Perhaps just making an appearance would be fine.

Sighing, she reached her hand down at a plate of cupcakes and picked one of, eating the chocolate frosting.

Avalon giggled and continued to dance along with Jeremy. There didn't seem to be any particular style, just dancing, because Avalon didn't know what sort of dance that this music called for. She'd seen Jeremy dance out of beat to the music before, and while she thought it was funny she'd also thought it was pretty charming, endearing, almost. Her steps, however, were a little more coordinated to the music, since her father had instructed her rather strictly about dancing properly. Even if she wanted to go all out and dance to her own rhythm, she could never do it without following the beat, showing just how ingrained her father's lessons were to her.

"You're a great dance partner," Avalon remarked to Jeremy after a while.

When she heard Nobuyuki's answer, she thought,

"I wonder what could might happen if he never showed up"

"I could be in sitting somewhere all night long" she continued.

"I wonder what he could be doing if he didn't ask me to dance, nah, he's good looking, he could easily find a date in this crowd" her thoughts now diverted to Nobuyuki. "Ahh... What am I thinking"

That was rather new for her since Rinoa's the type who just says what's on her mind, suddenly she got shy maybe? Finally, words came out from her lips, "Thank you for keeping me company" she said.

She then took another sip from her glass and started feeling the pain from her exhausted feet. Rinoa's not comfortable with heels even though she always attend party gatherings like this due to her family's business. "Ahh.. The pain of being a lady" she said while slightly poking her legs. "I wish I could wear my usual combat boots under this flashy dress" she added.

Her right hand moved away from his shoulder to cup the side of his face, chuckling, "You're turning red!" she squealed out, grinning brightly. He looked cute like this and it made her heart flutter somewhat though she disregarded it. She pouted when he shook his head, moving her hand back to rest on his shoulder. Everything was going smoothly as it is. Being concerned with his date for the night, he then asked her "Are you tired Jas? We could call this a night if you'd want to go ahead and rest or.. you could come with me to somewhere else."

"What did I just say?!" He thought. He looked down on the floor looking embarrassed with what he just told her. He wasn't even sure if she would take his words the wrong way.

He quickly nodded in negation and grabbed her by the arm and reacted "Err.. what I meant is.. If you would like to spend some time with me, like in our classes or take walks in the grounds or elsewhere. That is if you're free. So? How's it gonna be?"

The corner of Jas' lips twitched upwards at his words, "I'm not that tired" she began before tilting her head, amusement ever present in her eyes, "And I think bailing out of the ball would be a silly thing though I am curious as to where you would have taken me"

She let herself grin widely when he had his head down before quickly wiping that away when he grabbed her arm, exchanging it with a look of surprise, "G-gino" the girl began, a light blush settling on her cheeks, "That would be an honor" the girl continued with a bright smile. What harm would that be really?
