Nobuyuki walked into the Great Hall dressed in the clothes that his sisters had picked out for him. That's right, his sisters--Avalon, Forestyne, and Evangeline. They pressured him into choosing an outfit for the Ball and he gave in. Normally he wouldn't care, wouldn't even do it, but at the behest of his siblings he just did. Not that he felt comfortable with it, mind you. As his black eyes scanned the crowd of the hall, he couldn't help but feel a little....lacking.

Ah, that's right, he thought, and took out his wand. "Conujrous, radio!" A mid-sized radio appeared in front of him, and he turned it on. The first song that came to mind was a foreign one that he'd heard before, and thought would be good for the Ball.

"i smiled?" Nobuyuki asked, and he truly felt surprised. It was a rare thing for someone to catch him smiling, other than his siblings maybe, and that made him want to blush even more. Instead, he gave Rinoa another grin and chuckled lightly to himself. "You were awfully lucky tonight," he remarked. "I guess I'm not much of a ray of sunshine, huh?"

Forestyne wrote:

"Hey guys. I can see that Nobuyuki has been poisoned in some way. So, how do I look? Not too shabby, huh? Probably like some Orbis Terrarum."

Avalon giggled at Forestyne's remark. "You definitely look good," she told her sister. "I don't know what overcame Nobuyuki either, but I think Evangeline had something to do with it. Otherwise, he wouldn't even consider dancing!" She glanced slyly over at her brother one last time before noticing another Incaendefacio in her year dancing randomly to the music. Hmm, she thought. He looks like someone I know...

To better suit the dancing boy's mood, and perhaps to ruin her brother's moment, Avalon tapped the radio again and changed into a more lively song. Then she came over to the Incaendefacio.

"Hey," she greeted him. "I just noticed, you look a lot like Liliana. Do you happen to be related?" I think Lili has a brother...what was his name again...ah, Jeremy! "Are you Jeremy Sawyer?"

Jeremy noticed the music had changed.

It was more upbeat but his dancing was still slightly off.

A unfamiliar girl came up to him and started to converse.

"Ah! Yeah! That's me!" He grinned. "I am Jeremy Sawyer. Liliana is my sister."

He tilted his head to the side in a similar way his previously mentioned sibling usually did.

"Buuut... I don't know you." Jeremy said a bit nervously to the girl.

"But you do look familar. Are you in Incaendefacio?"

Forest could tell that this was a teen who had never learned to grow up. She'd seen plenty of them, and always looked upon them with distaste. Always pouting, giggling, and squealing like toddlers and acting all bubbly, cutesy and innocent, even more babyish than Ami. There must be something wrong with their heads, otherwise they would at least be more level-headed.

The girl had looked up at her, then examined her with much scrutiny before remarking excitedly that she was one of the Caradas siblings before crawling off to somewhere. Forest just rolled her eyes and prayed silently that the idiot wasn't going to be in her dormitory, not knowing that Evangeline was stuck with her. But it was funny how she was always known as "one of the Caradases" or a "Caradas sibling", although she didn't mind. Her siblings must be quite popular, plus she probably looked a lot like them in order for people to know that she was their kin.

Someone caught her eye and she was looked at a boy (Jeremy) dancing like a total weirdo in the middle of the ballroom. She remembered seeing him, since he was also an Incaendefacio. So, dateless and still trying to make an impacting move? Not bad, but he should learn to do it with more style instead of looking like some kindergartner dancing in front of the TV when their favorite channel is on. She was going to ignore him when her sister decided to go over to him after switching the music. Avalon, what he heck?! You're gonna be that clown's date? she said dryly in her mind. She would've tried to stop her sister from going over to him, but she had already went. Forest just rolled her eyes and grabbed a cookie from a plate and ate it as she watched everyone else in the hall. Perhaps she should try to interact with some people soon.

"I'm Avalon Caradas, and yes, also Incaendefacio," Avalon replied to Jeremy's question. "I met your sister before when I'd just come to the Academy. She and I made snow flowers together." Avalon thought it was quite endearing how both sister and brother shared the same quirks, especially with the tilt-of-head displayed when Jeremy didn't know who she was.

Ah, speaking of Liliana, there she was now...crawling? "Hey, Lili!" Avalon waved her over. "Come here! I just met Jeremy, your brother. And...oh no, you soiled your dress! What were you doing?"

Lili jumped up from under the table, skipping over to Avalon and Jeremy.

She jumped on Jeremy's back, knocking the wind out of him.

"AVALON!" She shouted. "You found a Jeremy! Yay! Five points!"

Lili examined her dress and shrugged.

"I was watching from below!" She smiled.

"Lili get off of me!!" Jeremy yelled as he struggled and spun trying to get his laughing sister off his back.

These too looked very out of place at formal events.

After a couple of minutes of struggling, Jeremy finally gave up.

"Eheh..... It's nice to meet you Avalon." Jeremy said with a small laugh.

"I am? Oh and you smiled again. Yeah, maybe I am awfully lucky tonight" she answered. "I can be the sun and you're like the moon, don't you think? Your shine, it's the best one, tonight" she added.

As the song changed into something more upbeat, Rinoa didn't know how to dance something like this. "So how do you dance with this kind of music?" she shyly said.

Jasmine blushed deeply when he took her hand and kissed the back of it. She was never used to this at all. "O-of course. I mean if that won't bother you" she said, giving him a bright smile. She had looked away, nibbling at her lip. She just got to admit- he was cute. "I'm Jasmine Rose" she replied "It's a pleasure to meet you, Geeno" she said before squeezing his hand, realizing he hadn't let go,

"What a lovely name." Geeno responded and looks at Jasmine's eyes as she tells her name.

Geeno lets go of Jasmine's hand slowly. He looks up and pouts a bit then replies "Hmm. I think it was Incaendefacio. How about you?".

Alexis slipped into the Great Hall and took a seat. She had decided to attend the Ball at the last minute, and here she was, late. Sort of. Not that they were supposed to go at a certain time, but she considered it late when most of the people have already arrived.

She sighed as she watched some of the students dance, talk, and flirt. She hoped she would still be alive by the end of the night; these things, balls and stuff, were boring for her because no one asks her out. Not that she wants anyone to do so.

Alexis stared at the middle of the room, where happy couples danced.

She was surprised that he was looking into her eyes but just stared back, "N-not really" she said stuttering over her words. At times like this she wished she had her sister's courage to talk rather than stutter and be shy. A bright smile crossed her face at the mention of her sister's house, "I'm from Liquidum" she said before swaying in place to the song, "My sister is in your dormitory" she quipped up happily.

Upon hearing her response, he then pouted and gave a long sigh. "Liquidum, eh. Hmm. Too bad were not from the same dorm." he replied. He looked rather disappointed that they were not on the same dorm.

Then, he noticed that she was swaying to the song and wonders.. "Hmm.. should I ask her to dance? But I am not that of a good dancer." However, he was very hesitant to ask Jasmine for a dance.

He diverted his thoughts to the other topic. "So, you're sister and I are from the same dorm. Is she here?"

"Maybe I should ask her later on." Thinking to himself.

She tilted her head at him, noticing his sudden sadness, "Yeah but we still have classes and such" she said cheerily giving him a bright smile and a nudge. "Stop pouting you look too cute now" she teased, a small blush on her cheeks at what she said. She stopped her movements before spying around, "There by the snack table with her loverboy Kyle" she said before frowning, remembering that jerkface's brother. Didn't even bother to ask her to the dance the arse. She sighs and slumps her shoulders slightly at her thoughts.

Hmm. Nobuyuki never thought of himself that way. Now that Rinoa brought it up, it did make sense, even if he could not think of himself so highly. He felt somewhat grateful to her for pointing that out, but he didn't know what to say in response, worried that he might say the wrong thing...

Then--huh? What? The music changed...for the worse! Nobuyuki couldn't possibly dance with lively music like this.

"I have no idea," Nobuyuki replied. "Unfortunately, I never learned to dance to this type of music. I know for sure, though, that one of my sisters changed it on purpose." He had an idea for moments like these, but wasn't sure if Rinoa would go with it. "Would you like to take a break and have some punch? I could get it for you."

Avalon giggled as she watched the Sawyer siblings goof around with each other. They just looked so adorable together for some reason, like...like two little puppies, Avalon thought. That made her remember when she was a child, always climbing on a grumbling Nobuyuki's back. She never did that anymore, and looking at Liliana and Jeremy now, she kind of missed it.

"Five points for finding a Jeremy, huh?" Avalon asked playfully. "How many points then, do I get for finding a Lili?" Putting the joke aside, she faced Jeremy and said, "And it's nice to meet you too, Jeremy. I can see that you both are close."

Her eyes were averted to Liliana's dirty dress again, and she frowned. "Why did you want to watch from below? Ah, well, that's not important anymore...Do you want me to clean your dress for you with some hand magic?"

"That would be perfect. Whew, let's find a good place to sit or should we join them?" pointing to the direction of that lively crowd (Avalon, Lili, Jeremy and the others), Rinoa suggested.

Lili finally jumped off of her brother's back.

"You get a billion points for finding a Lili!" She winked.

She looked at her dress and shrugged.

Lili smiled at Avalon's offer.

"If you want. The dirt doesn't really bother me much though." Lili giggled.

"Please excuse my filthy sister. I assure you that I am nothing like that." Jeremy lied, resulting in Lili sticking out her small pick tongue complete with a "Nyeh" towards Jeremy.

He pushed the smaller get to the side and out of his way.

"So, Avalon, wanna dance?" He asked with a dorky grin on his face.

When he heard about having same classes with her, he suddenly had this sparkling eyes like those of a puppy and a big warm smile. "That's great!" he exclaimed.

"Huh?" a confused reaction from him. "loverboy?.. Kyle?.. What???" getting all confused and curious, Geeno started to pry discreetly.

He looked towards the direction where she was staring and found a guy. "Is he your boyfriend?" he asked. He then felt kind of awkward for a moment there. "Why didn't I even bother to ask her if she was single or not? argh!" as he wonders, he crossed his arms getting restless by the minute.

She blinked in surprise at his question before shaking her head wildly, wild red curls bouncing around as she did, "No! That's Kyle and he ain't my boyfriend" she said blushing. "See that girl there?" she said before gesturing the girl that looked like her in a blue dress like hers, "That's my sister. Kyle's got a thing for her" she said with a shrug.

He sighed out of relief. "And here I thought that you were a couple. Wouldn't want to get caught up in between two lovers." He replied as he winks at her.

He began to calm down. Seeing Jasmine in her beautiful dress really made quite an impression on him. "That's really good to hear though. Then I can freely ask you out any time right? That is if you want to."

He didn't want to keep his hopes up so he maintained his composure.

That quickly changed into a rigid stance at his next words, having been caught off guard at that, "W-what? You a-ask me?" she stuttered out before biting her lip, thinking. She had a crush on Lyle yes but he seemed completely oblivious that she even existed. Should she really wait for him? Then again it was only an infatuation. "Sure" she whispered quietly in a tone that could be described as surprise and disbelief.

“Really?” he asked, making sure if what he heard was right. He felt really happy about it so he decided to ask her to dance.

With that being said, he made moved a bit closer to her, extended his hand and asked her out to dance. “Would you care for a dance, my dear Jas? It would bring so much joy to me if you would indulge my humble request.”

Avalon laughed at Liliana's and Jeremy's playfulness. She didn't say much as she used her hand magic and swiped it over the dirty stains in Liliana's dress; after all, it was a job that needed focusing to do. She only felt satisfied when the dress was all white again, no longer dirty. "There, that should do it," she said with a smile.

The question hit her unawares, and for a while she stared at him and his dorky grin. But then her features softened and shaped themselves into a grin of her own, and she answered with much certainty. "Sure!"
